THE LOWDOWN
The Hornets face fourth-place Newbiggin at Forest Hall Celtic in cup action following a forgettable 5-0 defeat to Cramlington United last week.
The result was an anomaly to an otherwise solid campaign, where Gary Henry's side have lost just four games since September.
Hebburn started the cup journey with a 4-3 home win over Gosforth Bohemians, before storming Wallsend Boys Club and carving out a 1-0 victory at West Moor & Jesmond.
Newbiggin, like Hebburn, have several games in hand in league action but have managed an incredible a 21-game unbeaten run.
The Biggin are fresh from a Northumberland Minor Cup semi-final at the weekend, which saw Brad Higgins and Stephen Lucas net in a 2-1 win over West Moor & Jesmond.
Whitburn & Cleadon, Bedlington and Cramlington have all fallen short to Newbiggin on route to the final, with Higgins and Matty Nelson bagging four goals each.
PRE-MATCH THOUGHTS
U23s manager Henry hailed Newbiggin's run of form ahead of the night, with Hebburn the underdogs.
"They're playing really well," he stated.
"That consistency is tremendous at this level - some of the teams they've beaten and results are great.
"They'll be full of confidence - we're on the back of a spanking to Cramlington, so you'd class them as favourites.
"Hopefully we'll have the opposite effect and want to prove ourselves."

LAST MEETING
Newbiggin travelled to The Green Energy Sports Ground on October 23 in league action.
The hosts started well and went ahead through Robbie Gateshill, but a sloppy finish to the game allowed The Biggin to rescue a 1-1 draw in the 88th minute.
Newbiggin have managed to win all 14 fixtures since the affair, scoring 56 in the process.
TEAM NEWS
Shot-stopper Kieran Hunter will be eligible for the fixture, however Liam Murray will be unable to feature due to competition rules involving first-teamers.
Amir Amjadian, Kyle Oxley, Dan Maddison and Gateshill are all touch and go for Henry's side following potential knocks.
Matty Robinson will be serving his suspension, while Owen Lovely hasn't made enough appearances to feature in the final.
