Gavin Allott and Lewis Whitham fired either side of the interval to prevent The Hornets from causing an upset.
Whitham fired over early, while Allott had a great chance on 14 minutes on the edge but hastily struck over.
Hebburn's first chance came on 24 as Danny Carson's deep free-kick was headed down by Amar Purewal, with Olly Martin's powerful shot being well blocked.
Liversedge debutant Connor Smythe raced down the flank before finding the head of Ben Atkinson, but Mark Foden clutched the midfielder's header.
On the half-hour, Smythe again went forward and drove a ball in, but Allott knocked past the post.
A few minutes later, Smythe's free-kick was rescued by Kurt Harris, forcing a diving save from Foden.
Still awaiting the opener, Foden punched away a ball in, before Harris went wide for the home side with 40 on the clock.
On the brink of half-time, Liversedge broke the deadlock as Allott latched onto the end of Whitham's cross at the back stick, nodding past Foden.
Sedge made it two on the 49 mark through Whitham, driving the ball into the bottom corner from close-range.
Joe Walton went close to making it three on the hour, sending a header towards the net but Foden again made a textbook stop.
On 65 minutes, Robbie Spence went close to pulling one back by meeting Martin's corner, however Sedge headed off the line emphatically.
In the dying moments, Whitham countered and squared to Nicky Walker in space, but the substitute blazed over for Liversedge.
Atkinson couldn't capitalise on another late opportunity, but the hosts sat strong defensively and managed to end The Hornets' three-game winning streak.
