The defender won the Supporters and Players’ Player of the Season awards on Friday night after impressing across the 2024/25 campaign.
Turner, who made 41 appearances during his first season for the Hornets, expressed his delight on collecting both accolades.
“Of course it’s a brilliant feeling,” he stated.
“There were only a few awards available, so taking two of them meant a lot.
“I think it shows the season I’ve had as a player. It’s pretty much up there, if not the best season I’ve had in my career.
“The Players’ Player award is one of the best you can win. It shows teammates value you and it means a huge amount.
“It’s a great honour to win Supporters’ Player. They’ve followed us everywhere this season and to be recognised by them means a lot.”
The Hornets ended the campaign in 14th after their first season in the Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division.
It was a mixed year for Daniel Moore’s side, who occupied a play-off position for the opening half of the season before being setback due to injuries and suspensions.
“I’ve enjoyed this season on a personal note,” added Turner.
“It’s been difficult in stages - obviously we had a dip in form which was largely down to injuries.
“Teams in this league do their homework. Nobody knew about Hebburn at the start of the season, but towards the back end it became easier to find out about everyone’s strengths and weaknesses.
“We picked up in the final few weeks and a mid-table finish this season is probably fair and respectable. We can definitely use it as a platform for next season.”
Turner has now turned his attention to next season, where the Hornets will be building on their first season at step three.
“We’re looking forward to the new season,” he explained.
“Right now, for me, the biggest thing is family time.
“I always look after myself in the off-season and I’ll keep ticking over, so when we return next month I can hit the ground running.
“I can imagine there’ll be a few changes over the next few weeks. Amar Purewal has obviously left and he was a big part of our team.
“With Macclesfield and Worksop getting promoted, the league is wide open for next season. I think it’ll be an exciting challenge and opportunity to show what Hebburn is about.”
