The Lowdown
Hebburn face a trip this weekend to face Stocksbridge Park Steels at Bracken Moor Stadium.
The Hornets secured a late draw in their home game with Newton Aycliffe a week ago, courtesy of a late Matthew Elsdon equaliser to secure a 2-2 scoreline.
New loan signing from Morpeth Town, Liam Noble, could be in line to make his Hebburn debut.
Hebburn sit just outside the play off positions although do have games in hand on some of their rivals.
Stocksbridge meanwhile, secured a goalless draw at Belper Town after the League's top scorer Kevin Bastos was sent off for the home side, with the result leaving them 17th.
They were eliminated from the Sheffield and Hallam Senior Cup on penalties in midweek after another stalemate with Penistone Church.
Head to Head
Since being promoted to the Northern Premier League, Hebburn lost all of their first four meetings with Stocksbridge, conceding 17 goals in the process.
In the game at Hebburn last season, Ify Ofoegbu gave the visitors an early lead, which was then doubled by Charlie Oglesby early in the second half. Sean Reid quickly halved the arrears, but a late Tom Devitt own goal secured the points for Steels.
In the reverse fixture in April, Stocksbridge ran out 4-1 winners. Rawson opened the scoring before Ofoegbu added a brace and Lewis Macaskill made it four. Martin's late penalty for Hebburn provided at least some cheer for the travelling fans, but was not enough to spark a late comeback.
Earlier this season however, Martin managed to help to reverse that trend when he grabbed the only goal in the game early in the second period.
Pre Match Thoughts
Hebburn Manager Daniel Moore said ahead of this fixture, "They're a dangerous team, scrapping for their life. You see Dunston going to Grantham and dropping points because they're scrapping for their lives and Stocksbridge will be the same."
Moore continued, "I'm shocked at where they are in the league. They've got some very good players so we'll prepare properly and look at their strengths. Some of the lads looked a but tired, so that's my job to look at it and consider whether we need to freshen things up for Saturday."
