We are delighted to announce Scott Oliver and Davy Bell as our new Reserves Team Managers for the upcoming season.
Scott an ex-first team player, captain and then manager back in 2013, oversaw a magnificent cup run in the FA Vase, in which he led the team to a rampant 4-0 victory over City of Liverpool in from over 1,302 people.
Davy also played alongside Scott for the first team, but left the club in 2015 to take over at Jarrow FC.
On the appointment of Scott Oliver and Davy Bell, Chief Executive ‘Stephen Rutherford’ said: “We are delighted to bring Scott and Dave back to the football club as joint reserve team managers.
“They obviously know the football club well and from the first conversation with them, they just got the memo of what we are looking for to help our male player pathway and to support the first team.
“This is an opportunity to reset our approach within our reserve section and with the experience that both Scott and Dave bring with them, this can only stand well for both the players they bring through and club as a whole.
“Scott and Dave have already caught up with Bobby and are aligned so now we are all keen to for them to get started.”
We would like to wish Scott and Davy all the best for the upcoming season.
