Hebburn Town FC can share that after 7 years with the club, midfielder Robbie Spence will be leaving the club to play his football elsewhere ahead of the 25/26 season.
Robbie with over 250 appearances for the hornets and 31 goals has been a superb servant over the last 7 years at the club.
A box to box midfielder, Robbie’s willingness to win and a master at cutting out balls has been very much a driver behind the clubs success. A true athlete and professional.
Robbie has seen the club rise through the leagues and been very much a integral part of the sides that have enjoyed fantastic success in his time here, seeing 3 promotions, a 2021 FA Vase Winner, 2023 Durham Challenge Cup winner, his time at Hebburn has been very much a rewarding one.
Club CEO Stephen Rutherford shared “Robbie has been part of the club since the takeover, he’s been very much an influential part of what we have achieved. It’s been great to be part of his journey as we have progressed together creating some fantastic memories. He’s a great lad and player, It’s sad to see a player that’s been with us for so long leave but that’s football. I’d like to thank Robbie and his family for their dedication to the club and wish them all the best in the future and both Robbie and his family are always welcome back to Hebburn Sports Ground ”
A great bloke both on and off the pitch and a lovely family supporting him, who have all been part of our clubs wider family & journey.
Everyone at the club would like to wish Robbie and his family all the best with their future endeavours.
