Ossett United vs Hebburn Town
Saturday 11th November, 3pm kick-off
Ingfield Stadium
The Pitching In Northern Premier League East
The Lowdown
Hebburn travel to Ingfield on Saturday to face Ossett United on the back of consecutive home wins that have taken them to the top of the Pitching In Northern Premier League East table.
After Player-Manager Daniel Moore came off the bench to grab a stoppage time winner against Grimsby Borough, Hebburn followed up with a 2-0 midweek victory over North Ferriby, thanks to second half goals from Amar Purewal and Olly Martin. Ferriby had earlier been reduced to 10 men in the first period.
Ossett, who are 16th in the table, also played North Ferriby last time out a week ago. Despite Alex Peterson giving them an early lead, they were defeated 3-1 at The Dransfield Stadium thanks to a Danny Earl brace either side of Tom Corner's strike.
Head-to-Head
It's just over a year since the Hornets last visited Ingfield, with Liam Murray's goal early in the second half enough to bring home the three points. With around 20 minutes to play, the home side were reduced to nine men when Joe Stacey and Ollie Fearon both received red cards.
It was a point apiece in the reverse fixture, with Purewal putting Hebburn into the lead from the spot, before Danny South quickly equalised. Murray was sent off for Hebburn just before the break, but there were no further goals in the second period.
