Goals from Ethan Wood and Gildo Da Silva secured the Hornets a 2-1 a victory over the Ally who made Hebburn work hard.
The first sight of goal for either side came in the third minute, as Aidan Heywood delivered a cross towards Da Silva in the Ally box, but the ball just evaded him.
However, the Hornets opened the scoring on six minutes as Wood scored his first goal since signing for the club, as he fired a low drilled effort into them bottom corner.
Chances were far and between over the next ten minutes, before Northallerton had their first effort on target, but the shot was fired over Kieran Hunter’s crossbar.
On 23 minutes, the referee stopped play, which allowed both teams to have a much needed drinks break in scorching conditions.
Northallerton continued to press the Hornets for the next 20 minutes, but neither side could find a breakthrough.
Just before half-time, Da Silva doubled Hebburn’s lead after Arron Thompson slid a perfectly timed ball through for him, and he then arrowed a shot into the top corner.

Northallerton looked to find a way to get back into the game, but Hunter did superbly well to keep out a low shot in the 55th minute.
Hebburn thought they had a third goal in the 61st minute after Liam Noble found Bailey Adamson in the Ally box, but his shot crashed off the crossbar and out for a goal kick.
Northallerton were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute after a player was caught in the box. The striker stepped up, and fired a low effort into the bottom corner to give the home side a lifeline.
However, the Hornets saw out the game comfortably and sealed their first win of their pre-season schedule.
