Adam Ingoe previews this weekends game.
Prescot Cables vs Hebburn Town
The Auto Safety Centre Stadium
Saturday 15th March, 2025
NPL Premier Division
The Hornets will look to gain a precious three points, after coming out of their most recent game with a draw against play-off chasing Ashton United.
Cables come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Ilkeston Town, who sit just outside of the play-off positions.
The Hornets know it won’t be an easy task as Prescot have an impressive track record at home, so they will need to be at their best.
The hosts sit in 14th place with 42 points, and will be determined to secure a victory on home ground, aiming to make the most of their remaining fixtures to finish the season in a respectable position.
However, they didn’t have a game this weekend, which has allowed them to have a longer period of rest in preparation for this fixture.
Prescot Cables’ forward Edy Maieco will be one to watch in the upcoming fixture. The Portuguese forward scored against the Robins, and will look to cause Hebburn problems.
Although the Hornets will be boosted by the fact, they’ve secured the services of goalkeeper Dan Cameron from Sunderland AFC this week, and he will likely make his debut on Saturday.
Daniel Moore expressed his thoughts ahead of the fixture, and said: “The lads should be looking forward to it, they love a test.
“They have to set their minds towards a winning mentality, not many teams have gone there [Prescot] and won. So this game will be a roll up your sleeves and get into the trenches type of performance.
“We’re going to enjoy the last remaining games, and finish this season on a high.”
The game will be played at the Auto safety Centre Stadium with a 3pm kick-off.
