Northallerton Town will look to cause the Hornets problems this weekend, after recently holding Northern Premier East Division Side, Newton Aycliffe to a 0-0 draw in the Frank Swinburn Cup Final on Tuesday evening.

The Hornets will be looking to secure their first win in pre-season, after going down to a 4-0 defeat at home to Gateshead on Tuesday night.

The two teams met earlier this year in January 2025, in a friendly game which was played at Kaiser FC, with the Hornets running out 3-1 winners.

Ahead of the game, Daniel Moore said: “Good, I know they’ve had a couple of games, so they’ll be slightly in front of us.

“I think we’ll be that yard sharper.

“The lads have just got to take the positives.”

The game will be played at the Calvert Stadium, with tickets available at the gate.
