Pitching In NPL Premier Division
The Hornets face Matlock Town on Saturday, with both teams eager to secure a win in order to improve their positions within the league table.
Hebburn currently 7th in the league table, will aim to capitalise on their attacking prowess, having scored in each of their recent matches.
Their ability to score consistently is promising, but keeping leads intact will be key against the Gladiators.
Matlock Town on the other hand, sit in 13th place and will look to leverage their home advantage and draw confidence from their previous victory over Hebburn Town earlier in the season.
Performances for Hebburn have been mixed recently, securing a 3-1 victory against Workington on January 1st, but have since recorded three consecutive draws and one loss.
Additionally, Matlock Town has also experienced a series of mixed results. They achieved a 2-1 win over Prescot Cables, followed by a loss and two consecutive draws.
With Hebburn’s attacking quality and Matlock’s home advantage, this should be a closely contested fixture.
However, Hebburn’s ability to score consistently combined with Matlock’s recent defensive struggles may prove in favour of the visitors.
Ahead of the game, Daniel Moore said: “Tough place to go, massively improved side.
“I’ll imagine they’ll be wanting to finish the season as strong as possible.”
The game will take place at the Proctor Cars Stadium, Saturday 8th February at 3pm. Tickets are priced at: adult: £12, 11-18: £4, concession: £8, under 10: free.
