The pressure is on for both Hebburn Town and Hyde United as they face off at the Hebburn Sports Ground this Saturday. With each team coming into the match on the back of disappointing defeats, the stakes are high for a response.

Both sides will be eager to prove their resilience, and with points on the line, this encounter promises to be captivating showdown of determination and tactical adjustment.

The hornets come into this encounter after a frustrating 3-2 loss to Morpeth Town on Tuesday evening, with late goals from Amar Purewal and Aidan Heywood falling short of claiming a draw.

Despite last minute moments of promise, Daniel Moore will be demanding an earlier and sharper display from his squad, particularly within the defence.

Furthermore, the Tigers also suffered disappointment in their last outing to Macclesfield, facing a 2-5 loss with the addition of a red card for midfielder Callum Spooner.

The defeat exposed vulnerabilities in their defensive organisation, meaning Nick Spooner will be eager to see a more cohesive effort towards Saturday’s game.

The two sides played each other at the Project Solar
Stadium on October 1st 2024, with second half goals from Aidan Heywood, Joe Walton and Leo Robinson, cancelling out Drew Baker’s opener, and sealing the three points for the South Tyneside club.

Ahead of the game, Daniel Moore said, “It is going to be a tough game, but we have been playing well. Yes, you’re going to have spells where you’re not at your best, but we will train and be ready to fight for the three points again on Saturday”.

With both teams under pressure to respond positively, the match will certainly be a high-energy contest, filled with attacking intent. With neither side willing to settle for a draw, expect an intense midfield battle, with an open and unpredictable affair.

The match will be played at the Hebburn Sports Ground, NE31 1UN.

Ticket prices are: Adults: £10, Concession (Over 65) / Students (17/18) - £8, U12-U16 - £2 & U12 - Free.
