Daniel Moore & coaching team commit until May 2027

The club are delighted to announce that our men’s first team coaching group of Daniel Moore, Mark Hudson, Carl Morris and Ian Whitcombe have all agreed a new 2 year contract extension deals until May 2027.

Since joining the club back in 2022 the group promised to bring more success to the club and they haven’t disappointed, their record is impressive and prompted the football clubs board to act before the end of this current season in retaining the services of all 4 staff.

Combined Record (as of 23rd Feb 2025)
- Played 126
- Won 69
- Drew 23
- Lost 34
- NPL East 22/23 season - 3rd Placed finish & play off semis finalists
- 22/23 Season Durham challenge cup Winners
- NPL East 23/24 season Champions

Providing a impressive 55% win ratio and a superb 73% undefeated ratio throughout their duration at the club, they have not only been one of the clubs most successful coaching team but also driven the club to the highest league position it has ever played at, this with the club sitting 8th in the NPL within touching distance of the play-offs with 11 games remaining of the 24/25 season.

Club CEO Stephen Rutherford said “The stats don’t lie and on the field Daniel and his team have done a magnificent job to get the club where we are today with the resources we have to offer. The rapid success the club has had on the pitch is credit to Daniel, his team of coaches and the squad of players that give their all for the club week in and out. We are pleased to retain their services for the coming seasons as we embark on a new journey together that will be transformational for both the club and town, driving more success overall for the club on and off the field”

Club Chairman Vin Pearson added “I’m really pleased we could agree a new deal for Daniel and his coaching team, they have brought success to the club that has been excellent to see and be part of. We hope over the coming years we can see more success come the clubs way”

Daniel Moore said of agreeing the new deal “I’m excited and privileged to be able to build on the hard work we have put in over the last 3 years. I said when I first walked through the door that I wanted to create a legacy in the history of the club and make some lasting memories for everyone associated with it and I think we have done that so far and it’s became and obsession to do well for you all. Now it’s onto a new chapter and the coming years are going to be an exciting time to be involved with this club that continues to punch above its weight and I’m delighted to be leading the club into that era.”

The club will be holding a special talk in evening with Daniel and his coaching team for supporters to come along and ask questions about his time at the club so far and plans for the future before the end of the season.
