Following a brief spell with Redcar Athletic, where he gained his first competitive senior experience, Robinson arrived at Hebburn Sports Ground and made his debut against North Ferriby at the end of January. He went on to play 16 times and scored 4 goals as Hebburn secured promotion to Step 3 for the first time in their history.

Robinson said of his return, "I am delighted to sign for Hebburn. I loved my time there last season, with a great bunch of lads and management team. I'm really looking forward to getting started."

Hebburn Manager Daniel Moore said of Robinson’s, arrival, "It’s a welcome back for Leo. When he arrived on loan last year, he gave the squad an extra energy and made a telling contribution in what we achieved. His attitude to learn and get better is something I admire in him at such a young age. He’s got a very good understanding of the game and fits into how we want to play, and I’ve enjoyed seeing him develop over the last few months. He’s still so young and has had to deal with a difficult summer, so my job is now to give him that belief to kick on and enjoy himself."
