The 27-year-old follows Aidan Heywood in joining Daniel Moore’s side for the 2023/24 campaign.

Briggs played a key role in Ashington’s promotion from the Northern League last season, and spent over three years with The Colliers.

The playmaker has also enjoyed time with Gateshead, Consett and a few Australian sides in his impressive career.

“I'm delighted to join the club," Briggs commented.

"As soon as the manager got in touch, it was something I was interested in.

"With how the club performed last year, it's exciting to be a part of and hopefully we can get promotion this year.

"It's a great set up with the bar and the pitch - I'm really impressed and can't wait to get started."
