We are delighted to announce the signing of Dan Cameron from Sunderland AFC on loan for the rest of the season, subject to NPL, FA and EFL approval.
The highly rated keeper has been with the Black Cats since U10s, and has worked his way up through the age groups, with the club impressed with his performances.
Cameron penned new terms with the club last year, that will see him remain at the club for the near future.
The shot stopper will provide cover for Kieran Hunter who remains on the sidelines after suffering an injury a few weeks ago, with his return date unknown.
On the signing of Dan Cameron, Goalkeeper Coach Carl Morris said: “We are delighted to have Dan come in with us.
“Dan is someone we have watched for a few years now, so we are really pleased with Sunderland allowing him to come in with us and continue his development into mens football.”
Hebburn Town manager Daniel Moore said: “I saw him a couple of years ago when he was like 17, and he’s continued his development with Sunderland.
“He’s come highly recommended, he fits the bill of what we’re trying to build with the club, and he’s a young lad.
“Obviously if he does well, it’s something that we can look at going forward, but I’d like to thank Sunderland again for their continued help of players.”
We would like to thank Sunderland AFC for their cooperation in making this happen, and we would like wish Dan all the best for the rest of the season.
