The board of the football club have moved to act promptly to update our loyal supporters after the announcement earlier in the week from the FA regarding the curtailment of the 2020/21 league season with immediate effect.
This means that the club will no longer play any further fixtures of the Ebac Northern League this season.
The football club sat top of the Northern League 5 points clear of 2nd place Stockton Town ahead of the announced curtailment after playing 12 games overall, 8 of those games were hosted at our home ground “The Green Energy Sports Ground”, thus meaning spectators who purchased a season card still had 11 entertaining games to attend.
Due to the low number of games played at home (under 50%) the board have agreed that all spectators that hold a 2020/21 season card will automatically be transferred to be used in the 2021/22 season, this means season card holders don’t need to do anything accept to Keep Hold of your 2020/21 season card. When the club play home games in the 2021/22 season then you just show the card to gain entry.
This means that on top of the 8 games season card holders have already attended a further 19 home league games next season will be available, meaning great value for money (27 games in total).
The club hope that this prompt action prevents any concerns and is an adequate approach for our loyal fans. We hope to see you all and many more very soon.
